Flex Seal Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month
At Flex Seal, we’re all about family and are proud to celebrate the various cultures that diversify and enrich our workplace.
Every year, from September 15 to October 15, we honor the diverse cultures and the countless contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans through celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month.
What started as a week-long observation beginning in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week was expanded in 1988 to cover a 30-day period and enacted into law on August 17, 1988. We have seen this declaration blossom to a month-long celebration for all the incredible benefactions and advancements that our fellow Hispanic Americans have made.

As part of our celebration this month, we sat down with some of our amazing team members to share their stories.
Our Flex Seal team shared the impact of gluing two cultures together and how that has had a positive effect on them. They expressed a combination of pride and appreciation to be a part of both cultures.
From New Year's Eve to local celebrations, there’s a wonderful collection of ways our Flex Seal team celebrates.
Family recipes are special because they are made by and for our loved ones. These meals help bring different generations together and are a great way to stay connected to our family roots.
Different types of items can connect us to our heritage. Something as simple as a magazine or a piece of clothing worn as a child can spark memories that remind us of our culture.
Each team member has their go-to language, depending on the moment. Spanish, English, and Spanglish can all be heard in our office throughout the day.
When describing the culture at Flex Seal, many team members expressed that it feels like we are one big family.
While Hispanic Heritage Month only happens once a year, at Flex Seal, we are dedicated to honoring what makes us all different as well as what brings us together every day.
