One of the most common questions we get is “How do I remove Flex Seal Liquid from my hands?” So we reached out to our product experts for the best answer. There are several ways in which to remove Flex Seal Liquid from your skin, but many involve harsh chemicals that can be damaging to the skin. We are going to recommend skin safe methods only and go step-by-step to make sure you get the desired results.
Wipe as much product as you can off of the skin using paper towels first. Then, use a concentrated dish soap that cuts grease and grime with very warm water. (Flex Seal tends to release better with warm water.)
You can try soaking your hands in warm, soapy water for 15 minutes and try washing them again if there is a lot of product left on the skin.
You can also use a bar soap with cleansing agents and exfoliating additives. One of the best additives to look for is ground pumice which is made of milled volcanic glass. It is excellent for scrubbing and exfoliating grimy, hardworking hands. Also look for a soap that includes ingredients such as activated charcoal, coffee grounds, sea salt, shredded loofah or jojoba beads. A good cleansing bar soap will have coconut oil (Cocos Nucifera) as a main ingredient and sometimes Orange 10x essential oil which is known for its cleansing and degreasing properties.
If Flex Seal is still on your hands, continue to wash your hands with soap and soak in warm water. To avoid getting Flex Seal on your hands in the future, there are many types of low-cost disposable gloves you can wear while working with Flex Seal that are available in most grocery stores.
Repeat as necessary. That’s it. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our customer service team at (833) 411-3539.
