The SECUR Low-Level Flood Protection System utilizes Flex Seal Flood products, which are specifically designed to work TOGETHER to create multiple layers of super-strong, waterproof protection, and to be easily removed after floodwaters recede. They can help slow down or even stop low-level water from entering structures.
Flood Tape is a removable waterproof tape. It should only be applied to smooth, flat, even, nonporous surfaces and always be used in combination with other Flex Seal Flood Protection products. It comes extra wide to help seal large openings and can be used on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. Do not bend Flood Tape around corners or over irregular shapes. Flood Paste and/or Flood Liquid should be applied directly on top of the Flood Tape’s seams and edges.
When used as directed, our Flood Protection Tape has been independently verified by UL Solutions to hold back 2ft of water for 14 days on gaps up to ½ inch. Tested in laboratory settings.

There is no dry time needed for Flood Protection Tape.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Always follow state and local weather advisories and evacuation orders. Depending on age and type of construction, there may be areas that cannot be seen or sealed. Unsealed porous surfaces may seep water during extended underwater exposure. Our Flood Protection Products are NOT intended for flash floods, extreme winds or water pressure, to protect against flying or floating debris, or if there is structural damage to the building.

HOW TO USE FLOOD TAPE:
• Protective gloves, clothing, and eyewear are recommended.
• Use only on the exterior structures.
• Make sure the area being sealed is clean, dry, and free of grease, oil, and dirt.
APPLICATION:
• Use a utility knife to cut to size.
• Remove the backing only a few inches and press the exposed adhesive side to the top of the area being sealed.
• Continue to pull off the backing, pressing the Flood Tape firmly with a gloved hand or squeegee to smooth out any creases or wrinkles.
• DO NOT apply Flood Tape around corners, contoured surfaces, or irregular shapes, as it can create air pockets and allow water to enter.
REMOVAL:
Grab an edge and pull away from structure. Using a small pair of pliers may be necessary. If any residue is left on the surface from other Flood Protection products, use a stiff nylon brush, paper towel or rag with denatured alcohol to clean the area.
