How To Use Flex Tape Mini Strips
1. PEEL. Remove the backing to expose adhesive.
2. STICK. Apply firmly to a clean surface. Using your fingers, a plastic squeegee, or roller, press down firmly and remove any air pockets. Continue pressing firmly for maximum adhesion.
3. SEAL. Flex Tape® Mini Strips create a super strong, waterproof seal. Once applied, strips cannot be repositioned. Full adhesion may take up to 24 hours.*
*Certain fabrics—such as canvas, nylon, polyester, synthetics, cotton, and others—may require up to 24 hours to reach maximum hold.
How To Use Flex Tape Mini Strips on Wet Surfaces or Underwater
For best results, when applying on wet surfaces or underwater, make sure the area being sealed is clean and free of grease, oil, dirt, debris, or algae. Only use on smooth, clean non-porous surfaces and apply at room temperature.
1. Remove the liner and apply the Flex Tape Mini Strip firmly over the area being sealed. Once applied, the strip cannot be repositioned. For best results, apply a strip to both sides of the repair.
2. Press firmly using your fingers, squeegee, credit card, or roller, starting at the center and working towards the edges.
3. Make sure all water, air pockets, creases, and folds have been completely removed. These are areas where water could seep through and create a leak.
May not adhere to certain surfaces such as siliconized or water-repellent materials. May cause damage to the surface if removed. Not intended for high pressure applications, such as garden hoses or engine repairs.
FLEX TIPS
For maximum adhesion on porous surfaces, use a standard blow dryer to help the adhesives bond with the surface.
Flex Tape Mini Strips’ bond will increase with time and pressure. Continued firm pressure will help increase adhesion.
Once fully bonded, Flex Tape Mini Strips cannot be repositioned.
Flex Tape Mini Strips’ adhesives may resist bonding to some plasticized or waterproof materials, siliconized, greasy, oily, dirty, or porous surfaces.
Certain fabrics—such as canvas, nylon, polyester, synthetics, cotton, and others—may require up to 24 hours to reach maximum hold.
