Will Flex Glue Stop Water Leaks

If you’re dealing with a water leak, you might wonder if Flex Glue® is the right product to fix it. While Flex Glue can stop water leaks, we recommend using other Flex Seal® products such as Flex Seal Spray, Flex Paste, Flex Tape, or Flex Seal Liquid.

How Flex Glue Works

Flex Glue is a super strong, waterproof adhesive that instantly bonds to a wide range of materials—even in wet conditions. It’s ideal for quick repairs and can be used on wet or dry surfaces, making it especially useful in emergency situations.

When used properly, Flex Glue can:

· Seal small cracks and gaps

· Bond wet surfaces, including underwater applications

· Provide a tight, flexible hold in areas exposed to moisture

Using other Flex Seal Products to Stop Leaks

While Flex Glue can be effective in a pinch, many leak repairs call for a different approach. Depending on the size, location, and type of leak, one of these may be a better fit:

Flex Seal® Spray – Perfect for covering larger surface areas quickly. Just point, spray, and seal. Great for roof leaks, gutters, and more.

Flex Tape® – A strong, rubberized, waterproof tape that can instantly seal cracks, holes, and gashes, even underwater. Great for quick patches on, PVC pipes, vinyl pools, and more.

Flex Paste® – Best for plugging larger holes or heavy-duty repairs where you need a moldable, thick sealant. It’s great for areas that need filling and sealing in one step.

Flex Seal® Liquid – Ideal for brushing, rolling, or pouring onto surfaces that need a thick, waterproof coating. Works well on basements, foundations, and flat surfaces.

Which One Should You Use?

· Use Flex Glue for smaller repairs, bonding tasks, or sealing in tight spaces—especially when water is already present.

· Use Flex Seal Spray or Liquid for broad surface leaks or coating applications.

· Use Flex Paste when you need to fill gaps or stop water fast with a thick, durable barrier.

Although Flex Glue can stop water leaks, we recommend choosing a different Flex Seal product when possible. Need help picking the right product? Check out our Product Page to learn more about each product’s best use and how to apply it for maximum results.
