Is Flex Caulk good for outdoor use?
Flex Caulk is an excellent solution for outdoor projects and repairs. Whether you're sealing around windows and doors, filling in siding gaps, or tackling seasonal home maintenance, Flex Caulk creates a strong, weather-resistant seal that helps keep out moisture, pests, and drafts.
Once cured, this powerful caulk can handle sun, rain, snow, and fluctuating temperatures without cracking or shrinking. It can be applied horizontally or vertically and has excellent adhesion on common outdoor surfaces like wood, concrete, brick, metal, vinyl, and more.
Flex Caulk is available in either a Hybrid Polymer or 100% Silicone formula. Both can be used for outdoor projects, but which one you’ll choose depends on the surface type and conditions during application.
Flex Caulk Hybrid
- Advanced hybrid polymer formula
- Can be applied to dry or wet surfaces and even cures underwater
- Fully paintable (we recommend using high-quality latex paints)
- Great for materials like wood, brick, vinyl, and more
Flex Caulk Silicone
- 100% silicone formula
- Works best when applied to dry surfaces
- Not paintable
- Excellent for non-porous materials such as glass, tile, and metal.
If you’re working in wet conditions or want the option to paint over your application, choose Flex Caulk Hybrid. For sealing dry, smooth, non-porous surfaces, opt for Flex Caulk Silicone. Whichever formula you choose, Flex Caulk makes it easy to achieve pro results for all your DIY projects and repairs. For information on how to use Flex Caulk, click here.
