How to keep Flex Seal from drying out

There are certain precautions you can take to help keep your Flex Seal products from drying out. Here are some tips for specific products:

  • Flex Seal Spray: After use, wipe the nozzle clean and replace the cap. Store Flex Seal Spray in temperatures from 60°F to 100°F.
  • Flex Caulk: Once you’re finished using Flex Caulk, take a clean, dry rag or paper towel and wipe down the nozzle (if needed). Then, replace Flex Caulk’s Snap & Save cap. Turn the trigger beyond the “min” setting to close. Store in a cool, dry place, and do not store above 120° F.
  • Flex Shot: Extend a small amount of product past the tip to create a plug, then replace the cap. This plug will help keep the product within the Flex Shot container from drying out. When you’re ready to use Flex Shot again, just pull the dried plug out from the nozzle, and you’re good to go. Store Flex Shot in temperatures from 60°F to 100°F.
  • Flex Paste in a Cartridge: Leave a small amount of product past the tip to form a plug, then replace the cap. This will ensure the product inside the container doesn’t harden. When you’re ready to use Flex Paste again, simply pull out the dried piece of product. The recommended storage temperature for Flex Paste is from 60°F to 100°F.
  • Flex Paste in Stay Fresh Container: Our Stay Fresh Container helps lock in the freshness, prolonging the life and sealing power of your paste, but keep in mind that Flex Paste begins to cure once exposed to air, moisture and humidity. To slow the curing process, keep the product covered with the lid during use. When you’re done using Flex Paste, secure the lid and store it in a cool dry place. The recommended storage temperature is from 60°F to 100°F.
  • Flex Seal Liquid: If the can remains open for an extended period of time, a skin may form on the surface. To avoid skinning over, remove the lid, use immediately, and always replace the lid after each use. If skinning does occur, remove the top layer and use the product. Store Flex Seal Liquid in temperatures from 60°F to 100°F.
  • Flex Glue in a Squeeze Tube or Cartridge: After use, squeeze small bead from the opening to form a plug & screw cap on tight. Remove the cured plug when it's time to re-use. Store Flex Glue in temperatures from 60°F to 100°F.
  • Flex Super Glue: Replace the cap immediately and store it in a cool, dry place. Make sure to shake gel formula towards the tip before use.
