How to Use Flex Tape Mini Strips

Flex Tape Mini Strips are your fast and reliable fix for small repairs. These conveniently sized, pre-cut waterproof strips conform to shapes, grab instantly, and seal tight. They work in wet or dry conditions, hot or cold temperatures, and even underwater. Just peel, stick, and seal for on-the-spot repairs around the house, RV, campsite, and more.

Here’s how to get the best results when using Flex Tape Mini Strips.

Important Information: This product is designed for temporary fixes and is not recommended for pressurized or structural repairs. Read all directions carefully before using Flex Tape Mini Strips.

1. Prep the Surface

Remove dirt, dust, oil, and loose debris from the application surface. Cleaning improves adhesion, especially on smooth materials such as metal, glass, tile, plastics, fiberglass, finished wood, etc.

2. Plan Your Placement (Dry Fit)

Before you peel off the backing, hold a Mini Strip over the repair to confirm size and alignment. If needed, add a second strip with overlap for wider coverage.

3. Peel and Position

Peel the liner to expose the adhesive and carefully place the strip over the crack, hole, or seam.

Flexpert Tip: Once applied, Flex Tape Mini Strips cannot be repositioned, so make sure to line them up right the first time.

4. Press Firmly and Remove Air Pockets

Press the strip into the surface and push from the center outward using firm, even pressure with your fingers, a plastic squeegee, or roller. Remove any water or air pockets so the entire adhesive makes contact.

Flexpert Tip: Keep pressing for a few extra seconds to lock in the seal. Bonding strength increases with time and pressure. Full adhesion may take up to 24 hours (especially on certain fabrics).

  • Glass, ceramic, and porcelain
