Flood Protection Multi-Purpose Kit

Flood Protection Multi-Purpose Kit includes: (2) 9oz Flood Paste® Flood Protection (Cartridge), (1) 10oz Flex Seal Liquid® Flood Protection, (1) 10oz Flex Seal® Spray Flood Protection, and (1) 3.75" x 20' Flex Tape® Flood Protection. Also includes additional tools to make your job easier. When used in combination they can seal various openings in your home or business.

Flood Protection Paste in a Cartridge is our primary Flood Protection product that should be used as a base coat for your first layer of protection. The precision nozzle that allows you to target specific areas that need to be sealed.

Flood Protection Paste in a Sleeve should be used on larger areas, flat surfaces or directly on top of our other Flood Protection products.

Flood Protection Liquid should be used a final coat of protection to help seal any small pinholes or openings that may have been missed.

Flood Protection Spray can be used as a primer coating for hard-to-reach areas and/or as a final coat of protection to help seal any small pinholes or openings that may have been missed.

Flood Protection Tape should only be used on smooth, flat, even, nonporous surfaces and always in combination with our other Flood Protection products. Comes extra-wide to help seal large openings. Do not bend Flood Tape around corners or over irregular shapes.

Once Floodwaters recede, all of our Flood Protection products can be easily removed.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

Flood Protection Paste in a Cartridge is our primary Flood Protection product that should be used as a base coat for your first layer of protection. It starts out as a thick rubberized paste and dries to a strong, flexible, watertight, rubberized coating. It seals out water, air, and moisture, while remaining flexible. Use on all types of openings such as windows, doors, seams, garages, casings, thresholds, conduits, vents and ducts, keyholes, and more.

Flood Protection Paste in a Wrapped Sleeve starts out as a thick rubberized paste that can be spread over all types of larger gaps, cracks, and openings. It dries to a strong, flexible, watertight, rubberized coating. It seals out water, air, and moisture, while remaining flexible. It should be used on larger, widersurface areas and/or openings that need more coverage, such as basement widows, pet doors, crawlspaces, seams, windowsills, foundation cracks, and more.

Flood Protection Liquid starts out as a rubberized liquid that can be brushed, rolled or poured into all types of openings. It seeps into gaps, cracks, holes, irregular shapes and hard-to-reach areas. It dries to a strong, flexible, watertight, rubberized, coating. It seals out water, air, and moisture, while remaining flexible. Use as a final coat of protection to help seal any small pinholes or openings that may have been missed. Brush a generous amount directly on top of our other Flood Protection products. When applying Flood Liquid, make sure each coat is wider and overlaps our other Flood Protection Products.

Flood Protection Spray starts out as a liquid. It seeps into gaps, cracks, and openings. It dries to a strong, flexible, rubberized, coating. It can be used as a primer coating for hard-to-reach areas and as a final coat of protection to help seal any small pinholes or openings that may have been missed. It seals out water, air, and moisture, while remaining flexible.We recommend you always use Flood Spray in combination with our other Flood Protection products. Apply multiple coats of Flood Spray to seal hard-to-reach areas, such as door tracks, seams, windowsills, small openings, corners, irregular shapes, and more.

Flood Protection Tape has a strong, waterproof backing and a powerful adhesive that seals out water, air, and moisture. Flood Tape should ONLY be used on smooth, even, flat surfaces and ALWAYS in combination with our other Flood Protection Products. Do NOT bend around corners or irregular shapes. Apply Flood Paste directly on top of the Flood Tape and its edges, making sure that each coat is wider and overlaps the Flood Tape.

Once floodwaters recede, all of our Flood Protection products can be easily removed.

DRY TIME

Dry time depends on temperature, humidity, and thickness of application.

Flood Protection Paste: Dries to the touch in in approximately 2 to 6 hours, fully cures in approximately 24-48 hours.

Flood Protection Liquid: Dries to the touch in in approximately 3 to 6 hours, fully cures in approximately 24-48 hours.

Flood Protection Spray: Dries to the touch in in approximately 30 to 60 minutes, fully cures in approximately 24-48 hours.

Flood Protection Tape: No dry time needed. Always apply using firm pressure.

COVERAGE

Flood Protection Paste in a Cartridge: A 1/4" inch bead will cover approximately 21 linear feet.

Flood Protection Liquid: At 2 inches wide, 10oz will cover approximately 18-22 linear feet at 15 mils thick.

Flood Protection Paste is a Wrapped Sleeve: Depending on the width and thickness of application, each sleeve will provide up to approximately 10ft of coverage, and 30ft total for all 3 sleeves.

Flood Protection Spray: At 3 inches in width, depending on thickness, one 10-ounce can will provide approximately 35-45 linear feet of coverage.

Flood Protection Tape: Will cover 20 linear feet, in your choice of 3.75" or 7.5" widths.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Always follow state and local weather advisories and evacuation orders.

Depending on age and type of construction, there may be areas that cannot be seen or sealed.

Unsealed porous surfaces may seep water during extended underwater exposure.

Our Flood Protection Products are NOT intended for flash floods, extreme winds, or water pressure, to protect against flying or floating debris or if there is structural damage to the building.

• Apply to the exterior of the structure.

• Area being sealed must be clean, dry, and free of grease, oil, and dirt.

Flood Protection Paste in a Cartridge

• Unscrew nozzle, cut the nub on the cartridge, being careful not cut or damage threads.

• Screw nozzle back on cartridge and cut nozzle to the desired thickness of the bead.

• Place the cartridge into the caulking gun.

• Using a smooth motion, apply an even bead directly to the areas being sealed.

• Use your finger or tool to push the bead into the surface being sealed (gloves recommended).

• Apply additional coats after 2-6 hours or when dry to the touch.

• Additional coats should overlap and be wider than previous coats.

• Material can be tooled for approximately 10 to 15 minutes before curing begins.

• Allow approximately 24 to 48 hours to fully cure before floodwaters arrive.

Flood Protection Paste in a Sleeve

• Cut one end of the sleeve and squeeze desired amount into tray provided.

• Use a putty knife, or similar tool, to remove an even layer of material.

• Using a smooth motion, push and spread an even layer directly to the area being sealed.

• All seams, gaps, and openings must be completely sealed.

• Allow 2-6 hours to dry to the touch before applying additional layers.

• Allow 24-48 hours for the final coat of Flood Protection products to fully cure.

• When storing any unused material, fold the emply portion of the sleeve down to the remaining material and secure with a clamp or tie.

Flood Protection Liquid

• Stir well before use, do not shake.

• Brush, roll, or pour several even coats anywhere water may enter.

• Apply additional coats after 3-6 hours or when dry to the touch.

• Additional coats should overlap and be wider than previous coats.

• Allow approximately 24 to 48 hours to fully cure before floodwaters arrive.

Flood Protection Spray

• DO NOT use in a confined area where vapors may build up.

• Always allow for continuous fresh air flow during application and drying.

• DO NOT SMOKE or use near heat, sparks or any other source of ignition.

• Make sure the area being sealed is clean, dry, and free of grease, oil, and dirt.

• Shake well: Spray 8" to 12" from surface using an even sweeping motion.

• Additional coats can be applied alter 30-60 minutes or when dry to the touch.

• Allow approximately 12 to 24 hours to fully cure before floodwaters arrive.

• After each use, invert can and apply a short burst to clear nozzle.

Flood Protection Tape

• Measure area being sealed, leave clear liner on Tape and cut to desired length using a razor or sharp tool.

• Peel a small portion of the liner from one end and firmly press the sticky side to the surface.

• Slowly peel away the backing as you continue to press on the surface.

• Using your fingers, plastic squeegee, or roller, press firmly to remove any creases, folds or air pockets.

• Once applied, use our Flood Protection Paste, Liquid, or Spray around the edges of the Tape to help prevent seepage.

• Adhesive bond is strengthened by applying firm pressure and will strengthen over time.

REMOVAL

Grab a small portion of material from an edge and pull away from the structure. Using a small pair of pliers may be necessary. If any residue is left on the surface, use a stiff nylon brush, paper towel or rag with denatured alcohol to clean the area.
