Will WD40 remove Flex Tape?

WD40 can be used to aid in the removal of Flex Tape. But the most effective way to remove Flex Tape from surfaces is Flex Adhesive Remover. It’s designed for the job.

Follow these steps to remove Flex Tape with Flex Adhesive Remover:

1. Put on protective gloves and eyewear.

2. Lift one edge of the Flex Tape and spray Flex Adhesive Remover directly underneath the backing onto the adhesive (You can use pliers to help grab and pull up Flex Tape).

3. Spray directly onto the adhesive as you continue to pull Flex Tape from the surface.

4. Once Flex Tape has been removed, spray Flex Adhesive Remover directly on any excess adhesive residue, let stand for 10 seconds, and then wipe the surface with a clean cloth. Repeat until the area is free of adhesive (A stiff brush may help remove residue).

Flexpert Tip: Flex Adhesive Remover may not be compatible with certain plastics, vinyl, paints, rubbers, etc. Always test on an inconspicuous area before use.
