Can you sand Flex Paste?

One of the most common questions about Flex Paste is whether it can be sanded once it has dried. Unlike spackle or joint compound, Flex Paste dries to a waterproof, flexible rubber. Therefore, once Flex Paste has cured, sanding may not be the best option. Instead of sanding, we recommend using a putty knife, trowel, or similar tool to smooth over the surface of the Flex Paste to your desired finish, while it’s still wet. You can even add designs and patterns to the paste to create your own unique artistic textures. For a smoother finish, consider applying multiple thin layers rather than one thick one. This will help achieve a more even surface. If you have more questions about Flex Paste, check out our FAQs.
