Phil Swift Made a Boat Out of Only Glass and Glue!

Flex Glue® Clear is the newest member of The Flex Seal® Family of Products. This product is an easy-to-use, transparent, super strong, rubberized and waterproof adhesive. It instantly bonds, seals and repairs virtually anything. To show the power of our new product, Swift decided to make a boat out of only glass and Flex Glue® Clear. You read that right—just glass and glue!

Here is what Phil Swift, CEO and spokesperson of the Flex Seal Family of Products, had to say:

“We created Flex Glue® Clear because we wanted a transparent glue that wouldn’t change the look of your beautiful surfaces. You can use it for anything in plain sight—from DIY projects to underwater repairs to the toughest jobs you can imagine. When we were thinking of what crazy thing we should do with this new product, I came up with the idea that we should build a boat out of ONLY glass and glue. My director looked at me like I was crazy and said, ‘That can’t be done, it’s impossible.’ So, I said, ‘Well, now we have to do it.’ Nobody’s ever built a glass boat before, and this was the perfect opportunity to do it! It held up great during the entire day of filming. It was really durable, even during rough seas.”

The commercial shows Swift putting together the glass panels, which took 6 months to create, with just Flex Glue® Clear. Once the glue dried, Swift took the boat out into the water in the Florida Keys.

Although you may not be making a boat out of just glass and glue, you can use Flex Glue® Clear for just about anything.
