  • Superior adhesion to bare and coated metal
  • Heat resistant up to 250°F — suitable near engines and other heat-adjacent parts
  • Indoor and outdoor performance
  • Topcoat-ready in just 10 minutes
  • 15 oz can — more product per can than the standard 12 oz competitive format

Use On

Bare and coated metal, wrought iron, garage doors, mailboxes and outdoor fixtures, furniture, cabinets, trim, doors and drywall, auto body panels, lawn and garden equipment, and tools.

Stain-blocking Primer

  1. Always wear safety glasses, chemical-resistant gloves, and use in a well-ventilated area.
  2. Surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust, dirt, grease, oil, wax, and loose or peeling paint. Scrape and sand checked paint smooth. Wash if needed; rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely.
  3. Shake can vigorously for 1 minute after the mixing ball rattles. Shake frequently during use.
  4. Hold can upright approximately 12 inches (30 cm) from the surface. Apply in a steady side-to-side sweeping motion, overlapping each pass by 50%.
  5. Apply 2–3 thin coats for best results. Do not over-apply in a single pass.
  6. Dries to touch in 15–30 minutes at 77°F and 50% Relative Humidity. Recoat in 1 hour. Compatible with latex or oil-based topcoats after 1 hour.
  7. After use, invert can and spray until only clear gas is released to clear the valve and prevent clogging.
  8. Clean fresh overspray immediately with mineral spirits or paint thinner.

Metal and Auto Primer

  1. Read entire directions and warnings before use. Gloves and eye protection are recommended.
  2. Surface must be clean and dry and free of dirt, grease, oil, and loose rust or scale.
  3. Shake can well before use. Apply only when temperature is between 50–90°F.
  4. Hold can approximately 6–12 inches from the surface. Spray using a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep can moving at all times.
  5. Dry to touch and sandable in 5 minutes. Ready for topcoat in 10 minutes. (Dry times depend on thickness applied.)
